Overview

TopQuantUnis is a startup focused on helping students navigate careers in quantitative finance by making complex, opaque information more accessible through short-form social content. The platform uses social media,, primarily TikTok, as a discovery channel to educate students on quant roles, internships, compensation, and recruiting timelines through silly videos while driving traffic to the main product website.

Quantitative finance is a highly competitive and confusing space for students. Information about roles, salaries, recruiting processes, and firm differences is often fragmented or buried in long-form forums and technical resources. As a result, many students, especially those without strong industry networks, struggle to understand where to start, what opportunities exist, and how to position themselves effectively.

Work Process

As part of the social media and content team, I focused on using short-form video as both an educational and growth tool.

My process included:

  • Researching quant finance topics, trends, and frequently asked student questions

​

  • Identifying high-performing content formats and testing narrative hooks and pacing

​​

  • Creating short-form TikTok videos from ideation through filming, editing, and posting

​

  • Analyzing performance metrics such as views, likes, saves, and engagement to understand what resonated

​

  • Edited and proofread interview blogs with quant techs around the world as well as creating a new logo that would stand out to users

Our Goal

The primary goals of my work at TopQuantUnis were to:

​

  • Increase brand awareness among students interested in quant finance

  • Educate audiences on quant careers in a clear, approachable, and engaging way

  • Drive traffic from social platforms to the main product website

  • Build a recognizable and consistent social presence through repeatable content formats

​

Through this approach, the account reached over 6.7 million views and accumulated more than 588,000 likes in under a year, demonstrating the effectiveness of a strategy that combined education, storytelling, and performance analysis.
